“let’s build a dev guide to help avoid customer/design problems”

For this particular ‘Forum Freshness’ I would like to focus on one thread over at Webmaster World in particular. This thread has the community open up and share their top 100 tips for quality web design in regards to professional internet development and design issues.

This isn’t the typical design thread and tends to focus more on how to treat your clients correctly and professionally - something that our industry still tends to seriously lack.

Here’s a portion of the thread:

” make a clear service catalog with price.

before you begin a project look a good look at him.

at each customer show exactly what you will charge him and i mean everything -but don’t charge your mistake. if you had done 5 days because you didn’t know something that require 5 minute you got to charge 5 min

its a good idea this catalog to be used as a contract. “

Read the rest of this excellent thread in the making here. It isn’t very long yet, but has potential - and I plan posting to it later this evening.
