Seth Godin Speaks at Google.

Posted by Paul Bradish on June 26th, 2007

Here is an old (by internet standards) but great presentation from Seth Godin when speaking at Google. The topic of his presentation was “All Marketers are Liars”. It’s a very well done, five star performance from an internet marketing genius.

Caption:
Seth Godin is the author of six bestsellers, including Permission Marketing, an Amazon Top 100 bestseller for a year and a Fortune Best Business Book. His newest book, All Marketers are Liars , has already made the Amazon Top 100 and has inspired its own blog. Seth is also a renowned speaker, and was recently chosen as one of “21 Speakers for the Next Century” by Successful Meetings Magazine and is consistently rated among the best speakers by the audiences he addresses. Seth was founder and CEO of Yoyodyne, an interactive direct marketing company, which Yahoo! acquired in late 1998. He holds an MBA from Stanford, is a contributing editor to Fast Company magazine, and was called “the Ultimate Entrepreneur for the Information Age” by Business Week.

Who Are Those People You’re Selling To?

create interesting sales copy

I’ve posted a new David Rosam article ePursuit.net in regards to interesting sales copy and knowing your target audience. Let me know your thoughts!

Here’s a snippet:

“…Whoever you’re talking to, they need to be excited by your copy - as someone in the advertising business once said, said ‘no-one was ever bored into buying anything’. And different people are respond to different things. Broadly, you should talk technology and technology benefits to technical people, and business benefits to the budget holders.”
